Mattea Orr’s THE LAST TELEGRAM OF MRS. HUDSON, pitched as a historical mystery set in Victorian England that reimagines Sherlock Holmes’s mother and her lady’s maid turned investigative partner as they unravel a murderous plot while dodging budding feelings for each other, to Peyton Stableford at Head of Zeus, at auction, in a three-book deal, for publication in fall 2026, spring 2027, and fall 2027, by Mara Hollander at Azantian Literary Agency (world English).

Kellyn Archambeau’s THE STARVING DARK, in which an Amazon warrior makes a deal with death for the chance to kill the queen who slaughtered her people, but when she infiltrates the royal court, she becomes ensnared in a dangerous game of deception with the queen’s enigmatic general and learns there is no victory without sacrifice—and killing a monster may require becoming one herself, to Desola Coker at Angry Robot, at auction, in a two-book deal, for publication in summer 2027, by Mara Hollander at Azantian Literary Agency (world English).

Caitlin Rose Foley’s MOURNSOUL, the author’s debut, following an 18-year-old who is blessed by the godqueen to reincarnate alongside her guardian and protect the realm from evil; but when she doesn’t die alongside her companion, she must partner with a handsome demigod in order to restore balance and save her friend’s soul, to Jonah Heller at Peachtree Teen, for publication in spring 2027, by Lauren Bieker at FinePrint Literary Management and Mara Hollander while at FinePrint Literary Management (world, excl.
